IF YOU DIDN’T know they were preparing for respective Boxing World Championship semi-finals, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Joe Ward and Jason Quigley were just two tourists shooting the breeze with Kenny Egan in an Almaty hotel.
“Yeah, I’m feeling good, feeling relaxed,” says Joe Ward. “It’s a huge achievement reaching a Worlds semi finals so I’m enjoying every moment of it.

Donegal middlewight Quigley feels the same way.
“I’m feeling in great form, it’s a great achievement to get this far in a World Championship but the head is focused now and I’m ready to go even further.”
The two go on to talk about the path that’s brought them to these semi finals and what they’ll need to do to turn their bronze medals gold:
